Menurut harian Le Monde, ada sebuah link dari China pada pembajakan tersebut. Kini pihak penyelidik telah menangkap 10 orang tersangka. Demikian seperti yang dikutip dari Tech Eye.
Pembajakan tersebut menyerang jaringan caband Safran yaitu Turbomeca, yang membuat mesin helikopter.
Nampaknya para hacker menemukan beberapa sistem menarik di Turbomeca. Para hacker juga menemukan dokumen Safran yang berisi informasi mengenai pembayaran dan biaya dari berbagai proyek yang melibatkan perusahaan tersebut
Pembajakan tersebut tidak dilakukan sekali saja, namun sudah berulang kali. Pihak Safran mengatakan bahwa pembajakan tersebut sudah dilakukan selama delapan bulan di tahun 2010. Mereka percaya kalau aksi pembajakan tersebut dilakukan dengan bantuan dari pihak dalam.
Turbomeca juga merupakan pensuplai untuk China. Satu dari dua helikopter di sana dilengkapi dengan mesin Turbomeca. Selain itu Turmeca juga merupakan rekan dari Aviation Industry Corp, perusahaan pembuat pesawat milik China.
Pihak pemerintah Perancis kini sedang pusing, karena perusahaan lainnya di negara tersebut, Renault, juga mendapat serangan hack, yang diduga juga berasal dari China.
