Barracuda XT 3 TB diluncurkan hanya sebulan setelah Seagate memperkenalkan HD Barracuda Green. Produk berkecepatan 7200 RPM ini memadukan sebuah cache 64MB yang mengoptimalkan ledakan kinerja pada aplikasi ber-cache-intesif seperti game dan editing video non-linear.
