Pada ajang Geneva Auto Show 2011 lalu, MINI tampil beda. Mobil superkompak ini muncul dengan konsep Rocketman, sebuah interpretasi modern dari model MINI pertama yang diluncurkan 1959 lalu.Menurut informasi dari dalam perusahaan, MINI Rocketman ini baru mempertontonkan beberapa feature saja dari MINI masa depan yang sesungguhnya. Namun informasi itu juga menyebutkan bahwa Rocketman kemungkinan akan diproduksi sebagai model yang terpisah.
"Kami benar-benar belajar dari sejarah dan menginterpretasikan model masa depan berdasarkan sejarah itu," ujar Pimpinan sales dan marketing BMW Ian Robertson kepada Autocar. "Temanya bukan sekedar MINI yang lebih kecil. Konstruksi yang lebih ringan, dan komponen-komponen tipe terbaru akan kita terapkan pada model-model MINI," imbuhnya.
Konsep dasar MINI biasanya memang mengarah pada bentuk mobil mini convertible dengan tiga pintu. Rocketman dilengkapi dengan feature-feature yang inovatif, misalnya pintu dengan sistem tailgate yang membuat akses jadi lebih mudah. Tailgate terdiri dari dua bagian, salah satunya terletak di atap mobil yang akan terbuka lebar sementara bagian bawahnya bergeser keluar dari body mobil mirip laci meja.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
